Your documents
PDFVenue's tools process files entirely on your device, inside your web browser. The documents you open with our tools are never uploaded to, stored on, or readable by our servers. When you close the page, the only copy of your file and its result is the one on your device.
The one partial exception is the OCR tool, which downloads language recognition data from a content delivery network the first time you use it. The data flows to your browser; your document still never leaves it.
What we collect
We don't have user accounts and we never see the contents of your documents. Standard web-server logs (IP address, user agent, requested page) may be retained briefly by our hosting provider, Vercel, for operational and security purposes.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which tools and articles people find useful — page views, approximate location, device type and how visitors arrive at the site. Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish visitors. This measures use of the website itself; it has no access to your files, which are processed entirely on your device. You can block analytics with any standard content blocker or your browser's privacy settings, and every tool will keep working normally.
Sponsors
The site shows clearly-labelled sponsor cards. These are served as part of the page from our own servers — they are static images and links, not third-party ad network scripts, and they cannot track you across the web. If you click a sponsor link, the destination site's own privacy policy applies.
Local storage
We use your browser's local storage for exactly one thing: remembering whether you prefer light or dark mode. This never leaves your device.
